Advanced HEAT Course (EU Entri Curriculum)
Maintaining personal safety and security is crucial when deployed to high- or extreme-risk areas.
The Advanced Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) Course prepares participants to operate safely in high risk environments.
Course Objectives
This course instills rational attitudes and boosts self-confidence, enhancing both personal and professional effectiveness in challenging situations. Participants receive practical training and personalized feedback in a supportive learning environment.
Overview
Based on the Entri/ESDC curriculum, the Advanced HEAT Course has no prerequisite training required.
Immersive Learning Experience
Over five intensive days, participants engage in a scenario set in a war-torn village, focusing on crisis assessment in a foreign country. The training integrates theory with practical exercises that require teamwork and quick decision-making while navigating ethical dilemmas and pressure.
Safe Learning Environment
Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. With over 20 trainers and actors present, you’ll receive guidance throughout the course. Trainers will tailor the experience to your needs and provide additional support as required.
Medical Kit and Instructional Cards
Participants will receive a professional medical kit for remote areas and waterproof instruction cards summarizing the course modules, offering quick references during missions. The Medical Accident Control module will teach effective use of the kit’s items.

Language: The course is conducted in English
Schedule: The start time on day one is 12:00 and the end time on day five is 12:00.
Breakdown of the course: The course consists of 30% theory, 30% practice, and 40% simulations.
Maximum group size: The maximum group size is 14 participants.
Dietary requirements: Vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, or other meals are available upon request.
HEAT Certification: Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a HEAT certificate.
Keep your training up to date: After one year, we offer a free e-learning program to ensure your training stays current.
Location of the training: Amersfoortsestraat 20, 3769 AS Soesterberg, The Netherlands
Costs: The course fee is € 4.400,- (2025) and includes accommodation for four nights, food and beverages, all course materials, and VAT. Accommodation and food & beverages are automatically reserved for all participants during the course.
